Regulatory Frameworks
Laws & Regulations We Operate Under
International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)
Blackpoint Defense adheres to all requirements under ITAR, administered by the U.S. Department of State Directorate of Defense Trade Controls (DDTC). Our compliance program governs the export, re-export, and brokering of defense articles, defense services, and related technical data listed on the United States Munitions List (USML).
Export Administration Regulations (EAR)
We comply fully with the Export Administration Regulations administered by the U.S. Department of Commerce Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS). Our team monitors Commerce Control List (CCL) classifications and ensures all dual-use items and technologies are handled with appropriate export licenses or license exceptions.
Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA)
Blackpoint Defense maintains a zero-tolerance policy for bribery and corruption in all international business activities. Our FCPA compliance program includes mandatory training, third-party due diligence, and internal controls designed to prevent improper payments to foreign government officials or intermediaries.
OFAC Sanctions Compliance
We screen all transactions, partners, and counterparties against Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) sanctions lists and applicable embargo programs. No business is conducted with sanctioned individuals, entities, or jurisdictions, and our compliance team maintains current awareness of all active U.S. sanctions regimes.
National Security Laws & Regulations
Blackpoint Defense operates in alignment with all applicable U.S. national security laws, including requirements administered by the Department of Defense, the Intelligence Community, and relevant interagency bodies. We support U.S. government security objectives and conduct operations consistent with U.S. foreign policy and national security interests.
Host-Nation Legal Compliance
In every country where we operate, Blackpoint Defense ensures full compliance with applicable host-nation laws, defense procurement regulations, and bilateral defense cooperation agreements.
